Homer Winter King Salmon Tournament Postponed to March 25th

The annual Homer Winter King Derby has been postponed to Saturday, March 25th, 2017 due to severe ice conditions in the Homer Harbor. The Homer Chamber of Commerce made the decision to postpone the tournament out of an abundance of concern for the safety of participants, their boats and harbor infrastructure.
The forecast from The National Weather Service for Kachemak Bay calls for continued cold temperatures and north winds. This combination has created difficult ice conditions in the Homer Harbor prompting the decision from the Homer Chamber of Commerce and the Tournament Safety Committee.

All registrations will be automatically transferred to March 25th, 2017. All anglers registered for the tournament have be contacted directly by email regarding their registration.  Please see FAQ’s page for more information.

We appreciate your understanding and apologize for inconveniences this may cause.
